Jason Millsaps was born in Montgomery County and has lived here his entire life. Growing up with the spirit to serve others, Jason was an active member of the Civil Air Patrol and JROTC while in high school. Advancing within Civil Air Patrol, Jason learned how to become an effective leader while serving the community during many natural disasters, and while being an active member of their search and rescue team. He has continued his community service commitments by becoming certified in state disaster management, and radiological disaster management.
In addition to being a strong community service leader, Jason is also a successful business leader. Incorporating his spirit to serve attitude along with his conservative leadership he has excelled at leading the company he works for to new heights. Understanding that a profitable and successful business is what keeps Texas and America working, Jason is ready to serve the citizens of Montgomery County as their next Texas House Representative.
Being a social and fiscal conservative, he strongly supports the 2nd amendment and HB2 the Pro-Life Omnibus Bill. He also strongly supports the 10th amendment and will defend Texans from an overreaching federal government. He strongly supports property owner’s rights, and will defend them at all cost. Guided by his principles and convictions, Jason will vote the way his constituents demand, and not that of the party leadership.
Jason married his high school sweet heart Hayley, and together they have a 4 year old son named Jonah. He accredits his son’s future for the reason he is running. “I am running to be your state rep, so our state and community continue to lead by example. I want my son to grow up in the same Texas as I did with the same access to a great education, and with the same spirit to serve attitude. Growing up a man’s word was his bond, and a handshake was like a contract. I will represent your voice in Austin as if it were my own with pride and distinction. My door is always open and will remain so during my time in Austin. I am so honored to have the opportunity to continue my commitment to serve others as your next Texas State Representative.”
