CITY OF HOUSTON SHOWS ITS PREFERENCE OF ILLEGAL ALIENS OVER TAXPAYERS

Houston, TX - In response to a Council Chamber largely filled with illegal aliens and their advocates, the City of Houston voted to remain a sanctuary city.  Voting 10 to 6, with 1 abstention, politicians voted to join the coalition lawsuit with other Texas cities wishing to overturn Texas’ new law penalizing sanctuary city policies. These cities, including Houston are represented by elected officials who refuse to follow Federal immigration laws.  The action represents a blow to Law and Order proponents and Taxpaying Citizens who rightfully expect protection from dangerous criminals. Houston stands to lose federal dollars for law enforcement which could amount to $314 million. Additionally, the City will be spending millions of taxpayer dollars to fund the litigation while the City teeters on the brink of bankruptcy, and the pension crisis is still unresolved.
